Special: A woman's perspective on Football

A woman’s perspective on football
If  a guy has to choose between football and women, we  are ‘supposed’ to know our place as women.
Every Sunday and Saturday it’s the same story and routine; football time. Whether it’s the Champions League, Premier League or just the summary of the week, the game is on. Oh..  this football thing is the only reason they  come out of bed early on the Saturdays or Sundays. Surprisingly they even wake up before the alarm starts buzzing. Football is the only thing that can wake them up so early; let me not start talking about how many times I asked my man to come out bed early so we can have a ‘productive day’. Nah nah..  giving up sleep for anything but football is a big no no. And if they do, start building your wall and get your Jerusalem game on cause complaints and prayers will be heard. Oh yeah.. they will be heard.
In my younger years I loved to play football with the guys outside. My mum even sent me to football training two days of the week. I loved it for all kinds of reasons but the main reason was: I fell in love with my trainer. See.. football can be fun for women. It’s fun because we can watch sweaty muscled handsome men running across the field right? But I honestly got to say.. my love for the game is secretly growing.
I often watch football these days. It’s a compromise so I don’t have a choice; we watch football together and then.. it’s my turn(second spot). I can choose something I like to watch. Being in a relationship with a ‘football-fanatic’(understatement) is all about making compromises. Sometimes they work out just right for you and sometimes they just don’t. Somehow.. these football compromises just turned out right for me. I hope it does the same for you girl. While watching football, I get tangled in the game and this out coming supportive energy just blows me away. Seeing and recognizing techniques can be pretty awesome though. Football isn’t just kicking a ball, it’s about technique, love, teamwork, developing, knowledge, supporters and so much more. I try not to be TOO enthusiastic about it but I got to say.. sometimes I just want to wave, yell, scream and dance when I see my team making moves. I don’t show it of course, I pretend I just don’t care and put my grumpy face on. TIP: Works if you want to see your own show sooner.
Now I don’t say all women are like me. I just know a lot of these women. If you are tired of his fanatic behavior, I got one simple but an effective tip for you. Woman, stop complaining and buy your own TV or make him buy it. You got your television now 24/7 and it’s all yours..
